Moving inventory between bins within the facility is accomplished both within the Sprout UI as well as on the WMS handheld.  Lots can be split between multiple bins as needed for staging, consolidation etc.


Moving Inventory In Sprout’s UI

Locate the item in Sprout, on the Status tab choose In House.  This will show all current lots.



Click View on the line with the lot that is being moved



The current location and quantity will be displayed.


To change the storage location click Update Storage Location for this Lot.


To move a quantity other than all from the current bin to another location click the pencil to edit the quantity, update the number to the quantity remaining in the source bin and click Save.




This will update that bin and return you to the prior screen.  The bottom left number will show total quantity as well as the quantity not currently in a bin



Click Add Lot to Bin



Choose the new bin and the quantity and click Add to Bin.



The updated locations will then be shown.



Moving Inventory in Sprout’s WMS

In the Receiver WMS app, choose Move along the bottom



Choose how to identify the item that is being moved



Scan A License Plate


Scanning a license plate immediately identifies the item being moved.  Scan the source bin to confirm available then continue



Scan a Bin Location


Scan the bin sticker and all items in that bin will be displayed.  If multiple items are in the bin, scroll down to find the item being moved



Tap the item and confirm.  


Continue Moving Items


Select the item to choose the number to move



Choose all to move all items in the bin or enter a number in the field and click custom to move soe



The screen will update the Moving quantity



Continue down to the Select Destination Bin, click Scan to bring the scanner up, or manually key in the full bin location if desired.

Click Move Item, confirm the move to complete the operation.



A confirmation will be displayed



Receiving labels for each item moved can be printed here as well.  These will print to the default receiving label printer assigned to the receiving logged in.
