Traceability and Usage Flow

Within Sprout users can follow the usage inventory from a purchase order to a sales order.  This also allows users to see what products were used to build a subsequent product  This is often used to develop recalls of items.

Searching for Lots

To locate lots visit IC - Inventory Receipts.  Using the filters search for the name, item code, or any combination thereof

Locate the lot in question and click VIew.  The inventory receipt screen shows all the deatils for this particular lot, source, dates, and allocations.  Allocations are subsequent usages of this item - either to sales orders or to WIPs/Finished Goods.

To follow this item's use until the sales order click Trace

The trace screen shows all usages for this lot.  Note, this can be a very expansive screen.  The trace ends with sales orders to customers along with the associated invoice number.
