Seeding Stations
Seeding Stations
A seeding station is a hub for combining components into an item that will be grown and harvested on a later date. When you set up a seeding station you can configure the items that will be created at that station. These items will be available to select and build on a menu for that station.
Building an item at a seeding station creates a new lot for that item, which will be allocated to a new lot for a harvested item, which is built at the harvesting stations.
Station Configuration
Seeding stations can be setup by selecting IC > Seeding Stations in the navbar. Setting up a station consists of two parts: adding the station and configuring items. To add a station select New Seeding Station and fill out the form. Here is a description of each input you will see:
- Name: A name for identifying the seeding station.
- Short Code: A short, unique identifier for the seeding station. This short code is required for the lots to be passed from this station to the DR Controls reader. Sprout and the DR Controls reader should have the same short code.
- Description: Optional field for adding additional notes to a seeding station.
- Company Site: The company site where the seeding station is located.
Producible Recipes
To speed up the harvesting process, Sprout needs a way to connect items created at a seeding station to the items that are produced when harvested. That way, when the seeded item comes out of the harvester, users will not need to determine what they are packing. This is done automatically with producible recipes.
A producible recipe is a kit recipe that links the item made at the seeding station to the item produced when it is harvested. To set up a producible recipe, go to item maintenance for the item that will be produced at harvesting and create a kit recipe. The recipe should consist of one component which is the item built at the seeding station.
With the producible recipe set up the seeded item can be added and built at the seeding station.
Building Items
When you select a seeding station you will be taken to a menu for selecting items to build. Click on an item to go to the build screen. The build screen is where you will allocate lots of components to a new lot of seeded items.
Build Screen Overview
On the build screen you will see the following elements:
- Quantity Made: Input the quantity of the new lot here.
- Recipe: Select the recipe to use in the build. The recipe determines the component items that are used in the build.
- Component items list: Shows the list of component items from the recipe. Each component item has a list of available lots that can be selected to allocate to the new lot.
Allocating Lots
To allocate a lot, press "Use Lot" next the the lot you want to allocate. You will see a popup with a quantity input. Add the quantity to allocate and click "Allocate Lot". If the Quantity Made has been set before allocating a lot then the allocation quantity field will automatically be set.
Auto-Allocation
Items that are set to auto-allocate in item maintenance will auto-allocate when the Quantity Made is changed.
Completing a Build
Once all component items have been allocated the build can be completed. Click Complete to complete the build. When the build is complete the lot will be ready to be retrieved by DR Controls.
Incomplete Builds
If lots have been allocated to a build but the build has not been completed, it will still be available at the seeding station menu. Below the items list is a list of incomplete builds, allowing you to go back and continue a build that is in progress.
Incomplete builds will remain in this list until they are completed or undone.
Undoing a Build
If you would like to cancel a build you can click "Undo". This will remove the lot created by that build and remove any allocations to that lot.
